To invest in the nation’ future through education development.
What is BBFI?
Established in 1991, the Bato Balani Foundation Inc (BBFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization engaged in the conceptualization and implementation of education development programs. It was named after Bato Balani for Science and Technology, a publication of Diwa Learning Systems Inc. As a foundation focused in the area of education, Bato Balani provides programs such as Teacher Training, School Administration Management Development, School and Library Assistance and Development, Scholarships, and other education-oriented programs aimed to uplift Philippine Education.
The foundation’s programs focus on four major thrusts: teacher development, school development, student development, and special involvements. The projects under these thrusts are designed for the foundation’s target beneficiaries who are mainly students, teachers, and educators, and educational research institutions.
One of its projects is the “A Tribute to Teachers,” an annual event that fetes educators from across the country. Alongside is “The Many Faces of the Teacher,” an advocacy campaign that aims to extol the virtues of the teaching profession. Yearly, BBFI seeks teachers from both public and private schools that can serve as role model to other educators through their commitment to the profession.
